Peregrine — British Knitwear Since 1796

Thomas Glover began hand-frame knitting in Wigston Magna, just outside Leicester, in 1796. Eight generations later, the same family — now led by Tom Glover — continues to produce knitwear and outerwear under the Peregrine name. Few clothing companies anywhere can claim 225 years of unbroken family production, and fewer still continue to make their core range in Britain using wool reared and sheared a short distance from the factory. The brand renamed from J. G. Glover & Co to Peregrine in 1956 and has built a reputation for cable-knit jumpers, wax jackets, and heavyweight knitwear made the right way.
