The Alfred Sargent Large Size Gibson Brogue Brown is by Alfred Sargent — the Rushden, Northamptonshire shoemaker founded in 1899. Family-owned for five generations, Sargent is one of the few remaining English shoemakers that still bench-makes Goodyear-welted shoes entirely by hand.
This is a Large Size Gibson brogue — Sargent's specialist range for extended sizes, here in UK 13, 14 and 15. The Gibson is an open-lacing derby style with full brogueing across the toe cap and side seams. Hand-cut from premium calf leather, Goodyear welted to a leather sole, and finished with hand-applied antiquing that develops a deeper character over years of wear.

Sargent's Large Size range is properly proportioned for larger feet rather than being a stretched standard last — the toe spring, ball width, and heel pitch are scaled correctly for the larger size.
Care: Brush after wear. Apply Saphir Renovateur and a cream polish every few wears. Use cedar shoe trees overnight. Resole when the leather sole shows significant wear — Sargent offers a refurbishment service.
