Look at the upper against the sole and you will see two different whites. The sole is a clean bright white; the leather is softer and warmer, closer to bone, with a faint cream cast to it. That is the more wearable of the two, because an optic white leather goes visibly grubby while a warmer one simply ages, and because a cream-toned upper sits better with linen and stone cotton than a stark one does.
The heel counter is a stone napped panel a shade or two off the leather, the eyelets are bright metal, and a tan lining shows at the collar against all that pale. Beyond that the shoe is bare: no logo, no further panelling, no branding at all while it is on the foot.
This is the summer colourway, and it is the one that asks something of you. Kept clean it is the sharpest of the three; left for a season it is the one that looks tired first. Our tan is the lower-maintenance answer if that sounds like hard work.
