Navy suede is the dressier of the Allsop colours: dark enough to wear with grey or navy trousers, soft enough to stay casual. It is the same slip-on as the brown and the sand, on a studded rubber sole that grips better than leather.

John White no longer make the Allsop. This is the last pair we hold, and it is in the Outlet: a single pair in UK 8. The Allsop is also in the Outlet in brown and sand.

F is John White's standard fitting. A loafer has no laces to take up slack, so it should feel snug across the instep when new; suede gives a little with wear.

Care: Spray with a suede protector before the first wear, brush the nap after each wear, and use a suede eraser on marks. Let a wet pair dry naturally, away from heat, then brush.
