The black Stables is the formal Chelsea boot: black calf, elasticated side panels and a leather sole, on John White's True Gentleman's Last. John White described it as a redesign of the classic English Chelsea boot, with the upper in what they call princess calf, and the leather sole keeps it slim enough to go under suit trousers.
John White no longer make the Stables. These are the last pairs we hold in black, and they are in the Outlet: one pair in UK 10 and one in UK 12. The Stables in tan is also in the Outlet, in UK 8.

Care: Black cream to feed the leather and black wax on the toe and heel for a shine. Leather soles are slippery until they have scuffed in, so take the first few wears gently. Trees after every wear, and dry a wet pair slowly, away from heat.
