Hanover Balmoral Boot in Burnished Burgundy & Black Calf Leather
Hanover Balmoral Boot in Burnished Burgundy Calf Leather. These luxury shoes come as part of the Joseph Cheaney’s Imperial Collection which has been updated on a new last to offer an elegant, sophisticated shape.
The finest calf leather is used to create a truly beautiful boot that features distinctive navy leather lining, an oak bark leather sole and a hand-painted fiddle waist. The hides are steeped in oak bark resin, usually for between 9 and 12 months, to give a natural, hard wearing, flexible sole.
The Cheaney Imperial Collection boasts in-channel stitching on oak bark soles, when the edge of the sole is delicately split open and grooved so that the stitching of the sole to the welt can be embedded discreetly within the depth of the sole. The split edge is then carefully stuck back down and hand-painted for a distinctive finishing touch.
